The Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise continues with our tradition of integrating into the local communities we visit during our voyages. We will have 2 bands performing at 2 locations in both Cabo San Lucas and Loreto.
Mindi Abair & The Boneshakers plus Willie K & The Warehouse Blues Band will perform at the Cabo Wabo Cantina and is billed as a Pre-Party and joint collaboration with the Life Luxe Jazz Festival. The Life Luxe Jazz Festival is supporting 2 medical non-profits in Cabo, benefiting the Letty Coppel Foundation and the Amigos de los Ninos. We will have representatives on site to discuss the important fund raising efforts being made to support much needed medical care for Women and Children in the region. For info: lettycoppelfoundation.com and adlncabo.org. Cabo Wabo is in Centro, Cabo San Lucas, and very walkable from the Cruise Marina. Willie K kicks it off at 12:00 Noon, followed by Mindi at 1:45P.
Mindi Abair & The Boneshakers return to Cabo at the completion of the LRBC, November 4th to play the Life Luxe Jazz Festival.
G. Love & Special Sauce plus Selwyn Birchwood will perform at the Bahia SUR Beach House, Medano Beach, on the Sea of Cortez side of the peninsula. You can either take a 10 minute Taxi ride or a Water Taxi from the Marina to get there. The stage will be open air out on the sand, for beach lovers. Both shows will begin around Noon and run until 3:15P allowing you to get back in time for all aboard. Selwyn starts the show at 12:00 Noon, followed by G. Love at 1:45P.
We recommend taking small bills in US dollars for faster service at both venues.
Billy Branch & The Sons of Blues plus the Hadden Sayers Band will perform in Loreto at the Plaza Civica Town Square. Loreto is a quaint little fishing village and is a wonderful unspoiled Mexican community. There will be a variety of local food and drinks available for a nominal price while the bands are setting up and performing. Please feel free to explore the town along the water’s edge and throughout the village square. Hadden Sayers kicks it off at 12:00 Noon, followed by Billy Branch at 2:30P.
The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band & Jamarama Host Mike Hoover & Bluenami will perform at the Evening Shade, located about 4 blocks to the left of the pier on the Melacon. This is a quaint spot that is popular with local musicians, which Bluenami is a big part of. The Evening Shade is owned by an ex-San Diego resident, Augie, who is very excited we will be coming to Loreto. Bluenami starts performing at 12:30P, followed by The Rev. at 2:00P.
