UPDATE: May 12, 2021
We all know that cruising, live music, dining, and countless other social events around the globe have been locked down due to the COVID-19. Admittedly, vaccines seem to be the primary path forward for reopening just about everything, and especially the cruise industry.
Every sign we currently see in the cruise industry points toward mandatory vaccines in the near future. Cruise lines that are setting sail this summer around the globe, prior to the U.S., are now requiring crew and passengers to be fully vaccinated.
For the health and safety of all onboard, the LRBC will be requiring all of our musicians, production crew, and staff to be fully vaccinated. As a Charterer of Holland America ships, we will be guided by the ever-changing rules of the CDC, which Holland America Line must abide by as well.
Our number one priority is to provide a healthy and safe environment for all passengers, staff, and musicians. LRBC therefore encourages all passengers who wish to sail, to please think of your fellow cruiser family and get your COVID-19 vaccine at your earliest opportunity, if you haven’t already. It may keep you from being turned away at embarkation. As the situation evolves, we will communicate any rules and policy changes which may be implemented for LRBC #35 & #36.
Thank you for your patience with us as we work our way through the Bluesin’ restart process.
We very much look forward to welcoming you onboard!
Roger Naber & The Legendary Team

Hello October 2020 Blues Cruisers,
This is Roger and the LRBC team checking in. We hope you all are safe, healthy and enjoying your time at home!
We are aware that there is ongoing uncertainty in everyone’s personal lives (let alone travel plans!). As of April 9, 2020, the CDC has mandated that there be no cruise ship movement in the U.S. for potentially 100 Days (i.e. July 18, 2020). That date can be lifted by the CDC if the U.S. government determines the coronavirus outbreak is no longer a public health emergency. The order also can be rescinded or modified in advance of 100 days by the CDC Director based on specific public health or other considerations.
We are dedicated to keeping everyone’s best interest in mind as we continue to work remotely with our Blues Cruise Family. The updated CDC cruise ship safety mandates will benefit ALL of us as this additional time allows Holland America to continue to develop a solid health and safety strategy for crew and passengers and implement best practices through maritime-focused solutions.
Please know LRBC stands firm in our commitments to you; our passengers and friends. We will provide complete transparency at all times. If updates are received, you will be the first to know. We will not compromise the well-being of our passengers, musicians, staff and crew. LRBC is here for you when you have questions or need to reach out for any reason. We are not a large corporation, we are a small team (a family, really) who care deeply for our Blues community. We’re also very much looking forward to providing you with the best Blues Music experience on the planet!
The LRBC has sailed 28 successful Charters with Holland America and we remain hopeful, and nearly certain, that LRBC #35 will sail as scheduled. Currently, we have just over 6 months before sailing to the Southern Caribbean. In the unlikely event that the cruise is rescheduled to a later date, those of you with an active reservation will receive the same stateroom or one of greater value, if it becomes available.
We want our musicians to know that now, more than ever, we fully support and appreciate them. We know, among our Blues Cruise family, these artists have incredible fans supporting their music and who are anxious to be able to support live performances again in the near future. By the time the October sets sail, we’ll all be in desperate need of this incredible festival at sea!
Will LRBC Sail Again? “Damn Right! We’ve Got The Blues!”
Meanwhile… please stay safe and well,
Roger Naber & the Legendary Krewe

Dear January 2021 Blues Cruisers,
The wait is over for the terrific January 31, 2021 LRBC #36 Lineup!!! We have once again booked a myriad of styles of Blues Artists which will make this yet another Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise we believe you all won’t want to miss! We look forward to sharing the announcement of two additional artists with you in the near future as well. Due to the constant cancellations of both spring and summer artist tours, festivals and live music clubs, we’ve been asked to wait before confirming these final 2 performer slots.
In an effort to allow our passengers to focus on their own health and safety, we have made the decision to push back our cabin selections for approximately 30 Days, so please watch for an email containing your stateroom assignment information mid-May. Additionally, we have extended our liberal, fully refundable cancellation policy through July 31, 2020, even once you’ve chosen your stateroom. We want everyone to have peace of mind when selecting a cabin in the upcoming booking process.
During this 30 day extension, we’ve chosen to reopen our Prebooking process. For those veteran cruisers who have friends who may want to sail, remind your referrals to use your name for some welcome onboard ship credit!
Some additional good news is that the CDC has recently mandated that there be no cruise ship movement in the U.S. for potentially 100 days (i.e. July 18, 2020). The updated CDC cruise ship safety mandates will benefit ALL of us as this additional time allows Holland America to continue to develop a solid health and safety strategy for crew and passengers and implement best practices through maritime-focused solutions. That date can be lifted by the CDC if the U.S. government determines the coronavirus outbreak is no longer a public health emergency. The order also can be rescinded or modified in advance of 100 days by the CDC Director based on specific public health or other considerations.
We at the LRBC are dedicated to keeping everyone’s best interest in mind. With 28 successful Charters in our partnership with Holland America, we will continue to work very closely with them to ensure we maintain this commitment to you.
Our team is currently working remotely and are available for you 9am-5:30pm CST, Monday-Friday to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Meanwhile, please stay safe and well through the CDC’s recommended social distancing.
