I have this running packing list that might be helpful for virgins wondering what to pack. It is full of good suggestions and ideas that I've compiled over the years. I'm sure I may have left off some things but hope you find it helpful. Take it or leave it...

If you do bring a plug strip, bring one WITHOUT surge protection. All of the electricity on board is generated on board, and will always be clean and free of surges. The surge protection mechanism can interfere with the power and trip a breaker for your cabin (it happened to me!), requiring a call to the ship's electrician.
